Kyoto Asahi-yaki
Asahi-yaki is a type of pottery seen in Uji, Kyoto, known as a center for tea culture. The father of Asahi-yaki, first generation Tousaku, built the first kiln in the Keicho era (1596-1615) and for 400 years it has continued to create tea pottery .
For the new Asahiyaki shop located at the foot of Asahi Mountain opposite of Byodoin at the Uji River, Green Wise designed a garden based on the principles of “slow green.”
