In collaboration with bagel shop AFFIDAMENTO BAGEL (operated by TRUST Co.,Ltd.), we held a second round of the workshop “Harvesting Vegetables and Making Bagels in Tama!”

In this workshop, participants made their very own bagel sandwiches from scratch. In Green Wise’s farm only a 10 minutes’ walk away from the bagel shop, participants picked tomatoes and cucumbers to be used in the sandwiches. There, they also made uchiwa fans with pressed flowers and returned to the bagel shop fanning themselves with their new fans. With bagels still warm from the oven, the bagel sandwishes were completed with the freshly-picked cucumbers and tomatoes! Herbal tea was served with mint ice, picked in advance from the farm.

Whether through kneading soft dough or picking cucumbers straight from the stem, we hope the workshop served as a relaxing time to get back in touch with nature and create wonderful memories as a family.

We at Green Wise look forward to conducting more workshops in the future and fostering close relationships with the residents of Tama. Through simple farmwork and delicious food, we hope to provide opportunities to enjoy nature and the many charms of the Tama area!
